OPTrust announces leadership change

Effective April 24, 2012, OPTrust has appointed Maurice Gabay, Chair of the Board of Trustees and Scott Campbell, Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees, as interim co-CEOs.

Gabay is a senior member of OPSEU's staff, serving as the union's accountant. He previously worked as a corporate tax auditor with Ontario's Ministry of Finance. Campbell is an experienced not-for-profit governor. He is a member of the Telus Toronto Community Board, the Cancer Care Ontario Board and he is a past Chair of the Board of Directors of Trillium Health Center.

This change follows the departure of OPTrust's former President and CEO Stephen J. Griggs who has left the organization to pursue new career opportunities.

The Board of Trustees is engaged in an active search for a new President and CEO.
