OPSEU/SEFPO named Aisha to the Board of Trustees in May 2023. Aisha was appointed Chair of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee, effective Nov. 1, 2024.
Aisha is a Mental Health Nurse at the Hamilton-Wentworth Detention Centre with over 25 years of experience. She is a member of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario and the Canadian Nurses Association and served as council member for the College of Nurses of Ontario from 2021 to 2024.
Aisha is a life-learner and proud union activist committed to social justice and has been an executive board member for OPSEU/SEFPO since April 2024. She studied nursing at Conestoga College and Toronto Metropolitan University and previously served as union leader with the Ontario Nurses Association.
