Aisha Jahangir was appointed to the Board of Trustees by OPSEU/SEFPO in May 2023. Aisha has served as chair of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee since November 2024.
Aisha is a mental health nurse at the Hamilton-Wentworth Detention Centre with more than 25 years of experience. She is a member of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario and the Canadian Nurses Association and served as council member for the College of Nurses of Ontario from 2021 to 2024.
Aisha is a proud union activist committed to social justice. She has been an executive board member for OPSEU/SEFPO since April 2024. Aisha studied nursing at Conestoga College and Toronto Metropolitan University and previously served as union leader with the Ontario Nurses Association. Aisha holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
