OPTrust Appoints SVP, Enterprise Risk Management and Asset Mix Research (Chief Risk Officer)

Anca DrexlerOPTrust has appointed Anca Drexler to the new role of Senior Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management and Asset Mix Research (Chief Risk Officer)  effective immediately. In this newly-created role, Ms. Drexler becomes the top risk officer for OPTrust, responsible for the organization’s enterprise risk management strategy and programs.

Ms. Drexler joined OPTrust in 2001 and has been a key member of the organization’s investment team. Most recently she held the position of Managing Director, Investment Research and Risk. 

“Anca has demonstrated tremendous leadership at OPTrust in our investment research and risk management activities,” said Bill Hatanaka, President and CEO.  “I am delighted to welcome her to the organization’s Executive Committee.”

Ms. Drexler has a B.Sc from the University of Toronto, a M.Math from the University of Waterloo and is a CFA charterholder.  She has also completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.
